What hours does the ban last and which areas are excluded
EL.AS announced emergency measures, in the context of the Conference League final at the OPAP Arena between Olympiakos and Fiorentina.
According to the announcement of the police and by decision of the General Police Director of Attica, any public outdoor assembly and any kind of march (pedestrian, motorized, etc.) is prohibited from 6 am on April 29th until 6 am on April 30th throughout the prefecture Attica.
They are excluded the Argosaronic islands and areas where activities-events related to the event in question are planned as well as pre-determined points of fan gatherings, such as:
- in S.E.F. in Piraeus,
- in O.A.K.A. (parking lot 5) in Marousi,
- ISAP stations “Thisio” and “Irini” in Athens,
- National Resistance Square (Kotzia Square) in Athens,
- Jacqueline de Romigi Square (Thisio) in Athens,
- Korai Square, Papanikoli Square (Marina Zeas) and “Georgiou Gennimata” Square (Fireplaces, Amorgos and Agios Eleftherios Pedestrian Streets) in Piraeus.
“The above prohibition is imposed, as there is a serious risk to public security, due to the possible commission of serious crimes, especially against life, physical integrity and property, and there is a serious threat of disruption of socio-economic life, both in the areas where events – activities related to the match in question, as well as in the rest of the regions of the Prefecture of Attica”, the announcement states.
