Carnaval: Gloria Groove, Alok and Zé Vaqueiro play in clubs in SP; check schedule

by

In the absence of free processions through the streets of São Paulo, prohibited this Carnival because of Covid, the schedule of ballads in the city popcorn with several alternatives for revelers to try to have fun.

Musical genres are not necessarily carnivalesque, sometimes even Brazilian, but parties serve as an excuse to take out the costumes and glitter stored in the closet. In the Carnival in the City event, for example, scheduled for the Jockey Club, musical attractions ranging from Zé Vaqueiro to Alok prevail. At Villa Country, the sertanejo reigns with a hint of forró with the performance of Barões da Pisadinha. At Cine Joia, the carioca funk group Heavy Baile leads the pre-Carnaval.

The Primavera, Te Amo party, for example, includes some blocks in procession in space, such as Água Preta. Samba do Sol also takes home samba and Brazilian music to Casa das Caldeiras and two other venues in the city — but it’s important to secure advance tickets or get there early.

But, of course, boils and crowds on the street are not allowed — and, in closed places, capacity is limited. Although Covid is still circulating in large numbers across the country — there were 133,000 cases in Brazil this Wednesday (23) —, clubs are open in the capital of São Paulo. The rules are the same as seen in recent months: mandatory two doses of the vaccine, 70% of the capacity of spaces and use of a mask outside the moments of consumption of drinks or food.

If you are going to venture into any of the parties listed below, remember that doctors say that it is not yet time to promote agglomerations. Click here and learn how to protect yourself against Covid and what kind of mask to use.
