Sparklers caused the fire that “raised” even airplanes
The fire that broke out yesterday in Alsos Veikou was caused by flares, as announced by the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias in his post on “X”, adding that three minors were brought in. At the same time, Mr. Kikilias draws the attention of parents, while underlining that arsonists, whether through negligence or intent, are punished with heavy penalties under the new law.

“Yesterday, late in the afternoon, a very dangerous fire broke out in Alsos Veikou and it required the intervention of not only ground but also aerial firefighting equipment, which tried with the last light of the day, to put it out before it spread.
Shockingly, the fire was caused by the use of flares and three minors were brought. I draw the attention of parents and once again I repeat: arsonists, whether negligently or intentionally, with the new law are punished with heavy penalties”.
