The background and the announcements about the sudden resignation of Natalie Kakkava from the position of Deputy Mayor in the municipality of Saronikos

She was first elected in the last municipal and regional elections with the Saronic faction, Natalie Kakkava in her first attempt at politics.
And immediately with the election of the faction with which she ran as a candidate, the Mayor of Saronikos, Dimitris Papachristou, chose her for one of the Deputy Mayors of the municipality.
And everything seemed to be going well for the immobile presenter who just last week with her husband Grigori Gundaracoordinated and presented an important action of the municipality, the friendship tournament.
And suddenly on Saturday, Grigoris Goundaras, posting a photo of them together, wrote:

Just a day later, that is, yesterday, Natalie Kakkava herself publicly posted her independence letter
“Madam President of the Municipal Council
Mr Mayor.
Unfortunately, nothing new, fresh with a willingness to offer selflessly, can fit in this little group that runs the municipality…
From the first moment I accepted and unfortunately tolerated unacceptable behavior (other fellow residents have also experienced it), from the Mayor and people around him.
I was patient, because I received love and strength from our fellow citizens, but also because I thought that I would manage to change the specific attitudes.
However, my morals and my code of values do not allow me to stay in this faction for a minute longer…
They will know the whole truth, very soon everyone, with proofs and evidence.
Because no matter how hard some people try to screw me over, believe me the truth always wins…
The only thing I feel bad about is that by believing with all my heart and strength both I and my husband in a scum, as it turned out IMMEDIATELY after the election result narrative, I seduced my fellow citizens to support this faction..
But I declare that I will honor until the last moment the trust they showed me, I will be by their side, as I have always been and always in the face of such extreme absolutist attitudes.. I have never been a politician and I have never fallen in love with chairs and positions.
With this letter I declare my resignation from the Position of Deputy Mayor and my independence from the Saronikos faction Let’s begin..

“PRESS RELEASE: Decision to suspend the duties of Deputy Mayor Natalie Kakkava by the Mayor of Saronikos Dimitris Papachristou
From the first day of our term as the new administration of the Municipality of Saronikos, we have been working hard to shape a new governance model based on honesty, transparency and respect towards our fellow citizens. A model of governance that has already borne fruit, leading our Municipality to a new trajectory of development from the very first months of our administration.
At the same time, one of our main tools for the realization of our big vision for the Saronic region is that of the continuous evaluation of our members. A tool that ensures that those people who hold the “lives” of our fellow citizens in their hands respond successfully to the responsibilities assigned to them, while at the same time they themselves are possessed by the culture that we have instilled in all staff and elected officials of our Municipality, the culture of unity and mutual respect.
Recently, with great concern, I have repeatedly received multiple reports against Mrs. Kakkava for abusive and disrespectful behavior towards other members of our administration, culminating in a joint letter of protest from the presidents of the KAPI of our Municipality who arrived at the Mayor’s office last Friday, May 17, with which the 7 presidents of KAPI denounced Ms. Kakkava’s unethical behavior.
Faced with the disrespectful attitude of Mrs. Kakkava, which, despite the constant recommendations in recent times, not only did not change but intensified, I considered it my duty to proceed with the removal of her responsibilities in the part of the PPE of our Municipality, ensuring that these areas will continue to operate smoothly, promoting the psychological and social well-being of our fellow citizens. At the same time, Mrs. Kakkava continued to hold her responsibilities in the field of Culture and Sports.
Nevertheless, with sadness these days we observe a highly divisive behavior on the part of the deputy mayor, a behavior that not only does not reflect the maturity that a person in a position of responsibility should possess, but mainly aims to divide our fellow citizens, in a “struggle” to impose prestige and power.
Ms. Kakkava with her actions, especially during the last few days, disbanded the faction, undermined the municipal work and divided our fellow citizens.
It is now my duty, as the Mayor of the Municipality of Saronikos, and with the strong conviction that petty politics and slander, those elements that have stuck our Municipality in stagnation and underdevelopment for almost a decade, no longer have a place in Saronikos, to stop the responsibilities of Mrs. Kakkava as deputy mayor of the Municipality of Saronikos, until the full investigation of the situation.
A decision that the entire municipal team ratified today, a decision that is now a one-way street, as change comes primarily and always from the people who make up an administration.
We continue to work hard with unity, honesty and respect, for a new Saronic Municipality»!
