The 47-year-old, originally from Bulgaria, was arrested as keeper of the attacking dog and was prosecuted for killing a companion animal and causing grievous bodily harm, both acts together, with omission and possible intent.

The same prosecution is directed against the 36-year-old owner of the pit bull, also from Bulgaria, but he was not arrested, as he appears to be abroad.

At the same time, the 55-year-old patient is hospitalized out of danger in a hospital where she underwent surgery, after a severe injury she suffered in her hand while trying to protect her Maltese.
