The fire protection regulation is from last year in May and concerns those who have houses in the forest or at a distance of 300 meters from the boundaries of the forest area, explained to SKAI 100.3 the Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis.

He explained that “the owners who have houses in the forests should submit the fire protection certificate signed by a specialist scientist and the cost starts from 150 euros”.

Highlighted certificate will be once.

He said that especially for this year, the owners should do the pruning work and know the evacuation plan in case of fire.

According to the regulation, the fire protection certificate should be submitted by June 21, while at the same time the platform of the Ministry of Civil Protection is in force for the gross plots inside and outside the plan and the deadline is until June 30.

The Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, called on consumers through SKAI to change their provider if they see an increase in green electricity tariffs in June.

He attributed the increases to a rise in the price of gas, an increase in the price of carbon dioxide and a drop in Renewable Energy production in May.

However, he emphasized that even now, the consumer can find a green tariff below 12 cents per kilowatt hour.

Answering a question about whether there will be new subsidies due to the price increase, Mr. Skylakakis noted that the prices are lower than those of January.
