Preliminary examination to the Sub-Directorate of Athletic Violence of Thessaloniki of EL.AS. ordered a prosecutor to investigate a 16-year-old’s allegation of beating with a fan background by a classmate of his, just before last Sunday’s derby.
According to the specific complaint, from the early hours of the same day, the 16-year-old received threats and insults from his classmate, through a social networking page, due to his fan identity, which was known to the perpetrator. The 16-year-old allegedly agreed with his classmate to meet in order to resolve peacefully any dispute that the latter considered to have.
After meeting in the courtyard of an elementary school in the area of ​​Agios Therapontas, they moved, in the presence of a third minor, to an adjacent flatbed to talk. According to the complaint, the third minor caught the attention of the 16-year-old and then his classmate started hitting him on the head and body, throwing him on the ground where he continued the physical violence, insulting him at the same time for his fan preferences.
He fell to the ground, as the complainant stated, and while he was hitting him, the perpetrator mocked him using the last words of the undefeated Alkis: “You will not say” do not hit me anymore “?” , while leaving he took money from the 16-year-old who had fallen to the ground during the attack.
The 16-year-old went to the local police station, where he reported the incident and an order was given for a forensic examination, while 24 hours later the accused minor was arrested for bodily harm, threatening, insulting and stealing.
Studying the case file, the prosecutor asked the competent Service of the Hellenic Police. to further investigate the incident to determine whether the alleged offenses should be dealt with under the aggravating circumstances of the Sports Legislation. Under these circumstances and pending the conclusion of the forensic examination that was carried out, the juvenile offender was released.
