By mid-June at the latest, the 110 electric buses of OASTH-88 will be on the streets of Thessaloniki today – and “in about a month we will also inaugurate their charging station located next to the organization’s depot in Stavroupoli”, pointed out the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras.

“I am today, once again, at the Electric Bus Charging Station under construction in Stavroupoli. The progress of the project, since May 19, when we were last in the same space, is significant. Today, 41 chargers are operating, which can charge, in an 8-hour period, 164 buses. The remaining 14 chargers will be operational in 10 days”, he emphasized in statements he made in the context of his visit to the OASTH depot.

He reminded that today there are 88 electric buses on the streets of Thessaloniki, from 17 buses about 2 weeks ago and “by the middle of June, at the latest, all 110 electric buses will be launched. We are consistent in the schedules we have set”, he pointed out.
