Intensive searches are being carried out since the morning on land and sea in Symi, to locate a 67-year-old well-known and award-winning English journalist, who is on the island for vacation and since yesterday afternoon his traces have been ignored.

It is about Michael Mosley, a British television journalist, producer and presenter who has been working for the BBC since 1985 and who, together with his 64-year-old wife, spent days of rest and vacation on the island of Symi.

According to information from “Rodiaka”, yesterday at noon the journalist together with his wife and a friendly couple were at the beach of Agios Nikolaos in Symi. At approximately 1:30 in the afternoon, the 67-year-old, who reportedly had no health issues, decided to return to Gyalos, on foot. Since then he has given no signs of life and his tracks are ignored.

Sthis morning his wife reported the 67-year-old journalist missing to the police and the search for him immediately began. In addition to the police and the Coast Guard, a volunteer group, the Fire Department, a drone is being used and soon a specially trained dog will be transferred to the island to assist in the investigations.
