411 BC: A coup by oligarchs takes place in Athens
1815: The work of the Congress of Vienna is completed. Under the presidency of the Austrian politician Clemens von Metternich, he tried to rearrange the political map of Europe, after the defeat of Napoleon.
1898: Great Britain “rents” Hong Kong from China for 99 years.
1930:Crowding occurs on Ermou Street in Athens and disruption of transport by the crowd, which gathers to admire Miss Europe, Aliki Diplarakou.
1976: In the final of the Greek Cup, held in New Philadelphia, Vassilis Hatzipanagis leads Heraklis to a great victory over Olympiakos with 6-5 on penalties. The regular match and extra time ended 4-4.
2010: SYRIZA MPs Fotis Kouvelis, Nikos Tsoukalis, Thanasis Leventis and Grigoris Psarianos are becoming independent, a development which the party’s president Alexis Tsipras characterizes as “negative”.
