From the morning of June 12, 2024, the crossings of permanent residents of the municipalities of Loutraki – Perachora – Agios Theodoros and Corinthia from the Isthmus tolls will be free. after a relevant letter to Olympia Odos S.A., from the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for infrastructure, Nikos Tahiaou.

According to the concession contract, the State undertakes to compensate the company for the loss of revenue due to the specific free crossings.

After the demolition of the bridge at the uneven junction of Loutraki and the interruption of traffic on the Old National Road, the permanent residents of the aforementioned municipalities face a problem in their local transportation, as the only available option is to use the New National Road Athens – Corinth ( Olympia Odos), where, however, tolls are required. In order to provide a solution to the problem of the specific residents, it was decided that their passage from Olympia Odos, within the boundaries of their municipalities, would be free in the first phase, until the restoration and installation of the sinking bridge of the Isthmus, from which there is an alternative way out movement of vehicles under 3.5 tons, at which time new regulations will be announced.

The free passage will be done by showing an identity document and a responsible declaration, validated, either through gov.gr, or through KEP, which will state the following:

To: “OLYMPIA ODO and any other competent Agency or Authority”

I hereby declare that

A. I am a permanent resident of the Municipalities of Loutraki – Perachora – Agios Theodoros or Corinthia at the above mentioned address and my current movement is exclusively within the limits of the above Municipalities with my vehicle with registration number ……. [τίθεται ο αριθμός κυκλοφορίας του οχήματος]. This is shown at the Isthmus toll station together with an official identity document (ID card, Passport), and

B. I consent to the processing of my personal data by Olympia Odos based on its legitimate interest in the control of crossings and the protection of its rights and that of the Greek State (according to the relevant information at www.olympiaodos.gr/privacy/ ) .

On the occasion of the signing of the relevant decision, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Nikos Tachiaos stated:

“The Government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis within 48 hours proceeded to restore traffic on Olympia Road. Today, it responds again with strong reflexes to the need of the permanent residents of the Loutraki – Perachora – Agioi Theodoros and Corinthia municipalities to continue commuting in the area, without paying tolls, as was the case until today. For this decision, which was announced yesterday by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, it was necessary to hold a short consultation with the Mayors of the concerned Municipalities and technical processing with the concession company. It is a temporary and short-term solution. We are already working to proceed with the construction of a new overpass and to return the Old National Road to traffic as soon as possible.”
