The perpetrator of yesterday’s bloody shootout in a mini market in Chania, in which 3 people were injured, appears to be known to the authorities.
A Russian known to the authorities who is even described as “dangerous”, the police are looking for the shootings in a mini market in the center of Chania.
He is also looking for an Albanian accomplice who was waiting for him and they escaped by motorbike after the bloody fight.
The owner of the mini market, a Syrian national, maintains that he does not know the reasons for the attack. In the fight, his two sons, 32 and 34, were injured, while the latter remains in the hospital, as he was shot in the knee.
In the meantime, the dialogues recorded in the video of the incident, which was obtained by zarpanews.gr, are chilling. Two people have immobilized the Russian, who is already covered in blood and injured in the face.
He manages to push them away with his physical strength and shoots twice, with a revolver, injuring the owner’s 34-year-old son in the knee. “Put down the gun, someone will be killed” is the dramatic appeal.
Afterwards, the perpetrator of the shooting leaves on foot, with his helmet in hand and escapes on a motorcycle with an Albanian citizen, also known to the authorities, as co-driver.
It is recalled that the unprecedented incident took place shortly before 8 pm on Saturday when the market was open and some patrons were also present. Then, according to witnesses, the two perpetrators arrived at the scene and the Russian entered with a bat with which he attacked the sons. A fight ensued in which the father also joined.
Both perpetrators have been identified from the beginning and it is considered a matter of time before their arrest.
