Two foreigners accused of attempted serial murder and violations of weapons legislation were arrested in Chania.

The arrest was made within the framework of the autoforo, in the area of ​​the Municipality of Platanias by police officers of the Security Sub-Directorate of Chania with the assistance of the Narcotics Prosecution Department of Chania and concerns two persons who, according to the police, on the afternoon of June 15 “traveled on a two-wheeled motorcycle in a mini market business maintained by a 58-year-old foreigner in Chania and with the use of wooden objects they caused bodily harm to the aforementioned foreigner and to two other foreigners (34 and 32 years old), while with the use of a firearm one of them caused bodily harm to the 34-year-old”.

From the preliminary investigation by the Security, it emerged that the perpetrators of the acts are two foreigners (a 46-year-old and a 30-year-old) who were searched for and located in a rural residence in the area of ​​the Municipality of Platanias, where they were arrested while the motorcycle they used to commit their criminal acts was confiscated. The arrested are known to the authorities, and with the help of visual material from the moment of their attack in the mini market, their identification was immediate and the arrest a matter of time.

Those arrested will be brought before the Chania Police Prosecutor, while the preliminary investigation is carried out by the Security Sub-Directorate of Chania.
