A total of 41 agroforestry fires have broken out in the last twenty-four hours across the country, according to a statement from the Fire Department. Of these, as it was made known by the Fire Department, 35 were dealt with directly, in their initial stage, while the fire forces are dealing with six more.

– In Monastiraki of Alexandroupolis municipality. 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter assisted from the air
– In Nea Zichni, Serres. They operated from the air 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter
– In Kirki Serres. 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter assisted from the air.
– In Nigrita Serres where 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter attempted from the air.
It is noted that according to data from the Fire Department, strong ground forces also attempted to extinguish all the above fires.
