Criminologist Apostolos Lytras spent his first night in the “VIP” wing of Korydallos prisons. His pre-trial detention yesterday was decided on the grounds that he violated the restrictive conditions and furthermore because he was considered a suspect of absconding as when he was searched in the context of an automatic procedure following a lawsuit by his abused wife he did not appear at the authorities.

Yesterday at noon he had a visit from his sister and his defense attorney, Petros Pantazis, who brought him some clothes.

After taking a Covid test as required, he was transferred to the “VIP” wing, where the spouse killer in Glyka Nera, Babis Anagnostopoulos, Lakis Gavalas and Akis Tsochatzopoulos, among others, have been kept from time to time.

An associate of the family who today saw Apostolos Lytras before he was taken to prison spoke to SKAI: “Of course, the behavior that Mrs. Polyzogopoulos received from her husband is reprehensible. We condemn her, it’s just a far-fetched criminal prosecution, no one else would have been prosecuted like that. In my opinion, this intervention of the Supreme Court is irregular”.

After yesterday’s episode, Apostolos Lytras filed a lawsuit against his wife for defamation and false accusation.

She was arrested by the police officer who is outside her house, said the press representative of EL.AS, Konstantia Dimoglidou. After the lawsuit was filed, she went to the AT of Pallini with her lawyer, to apologize. She was released by order of the prosecutor.

The day before yesterday, shortly after 7 pm, the criminologist appeared himself at the Pallini Police Station driving a car to surrender to the authorities and execute the arrest warrant issued against him.
