After the demolition of the existing building complex of the former Papafi Stables, a modern multi-purpose hall will be erected and constructed to serve the Municipality’s public uses
The contract between the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the contracting company for the utilization of the former Papafi Stables was signed today.
The contract for the project “Creation of utility facilities in the OT bounded by Alonissos – Mykonos – Andros – Sidirokastro streets (formerly Stavloi Papafis)” was signed at the Thessaloniki City Hall by the deputy mayor for Technical Works, Environment & Sustainable Mobility, Prodromos Nikiforidis and the legal representative of the contractor Anonymous Technical Company Pagoni, Maria Pagoni.
The object of the contract is the utilization of the municipal property located within the boundaries of the 4th Municipal Community of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, with a total area of ​​4,775 sq.m. After the demolition of the existing building complex of the former Papafi Stables, a modern multipurpose hall will be erected and constructed serving public utility uses of the Municipality. The multi-purpose center will host social structures (nursery, hospitality hostel), cultural and sports activities (closed municipal gym, multi-purpose and social event hall, memory space/refugee heritage archive, municipal library/reading room, office building, doctor’s office, day care center elderly), upgraded urban greenery and underground parking.
