“Over 189,500 statements were submitted in the last 4 days alone, proving that citizens understand how critical it is to clean their properties”
The extension of the submission deadline of land clearing declarations on the akatharista.apps.gov.gr platform, up to on July 15, announced the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection in a statement.
A new culture of prevention seems to be forming among the citizens of the country, as evidenced by the statements on the platform of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, a relevant announcement on Friday said.
As the ministry emphasizes, there was a significant response: “459,252 citizens* have declared to date on the platform that they have cleared their plots. Over 189,500 statements were submitted in the last 4 days alone, proving that citizens understand how critical it is to clean their properties. In this way we protect our properties, our neighbors and our place and contribute decisively to the efforts made by the firefighters and all Civil Protection forces during the difficult fire season we are going through.
“For this reason, in order to complete the universal clean-up effort by the citizens – and following a request from the Panhellenic Federation of Property Owners (POMIDA) – it was decided to extend the deadline for submission of statements on the platform until 15.07.2024”.
