A fierce fight between Zakynthians and a group of visitors, probably from Athens, took place in the early hours of the morning in Laganas, Zakynthos, resulting in the serious stabbing injuries of two youths from Zakynthos and an Athenian punched

According to exclusive information from ERT Zakynthos, everything started at 2.30 after midnight, when the group of “Athenians”, about 10 to 14 people aged 20-30, were having fun in a club in Laganas, where some members of the Zakynthian group work. same ages.

According to complaints, the youths from Athens engaged in obscenities and provocations, with workers escorting them out of the club. The young men left cursing and threatening the group from Zakynthos that “we will meet again”, to receive the answer “whenever you want”.

Two and a half hours later, at around 5 in the morning and after young people from the Zakynthian group had left the club, they went to eat at a well-known fast food restaurant in Laganas.

A few meters before the shop, the expelled young men from Athens were waiting for them and attacked them. One of the attackers stabbed at least 4 people. Two of the victims are hospitalized with stab wounds to the abdomen and liver, while two others have superficial injuries.

Badly beaten, mainly in the face, one of the “Athenians” group, who was punched fiercely, is hospitalized.

The case is at the stage of preliminary investigation by the Security Department of Zakynthos, which is taking statements while it has also proceeded to arrest people from both sides.

According to information from ERT Zakynthos, 6 to 8 people from each group allegedly participated in the fight.
