An 11-year-old man experienced the absolute horror, who was sexually assaulted by a 24-year-old foreigner in the toilets of a well-known shopping center in western Thessaloniki. According to exclusive information of thestival, the unprecedented incident occurred on Saturday night.
The 11-year-old visited the mall with his mother. At one point he informed her that he was going to the toilet. The perpetrator of the attack was waiting. As soon as he saw the 11-year-old alone in the toilet, he decided to act. While washing in the sink, he was attacked. She hugged him from behind. With one hand he closed the mouth of the minor. He tried to rub his body. The 11-year-old found the strength to react and run out of the toilet.
He alerted his mother, who was nearby. She started running to catch the Afghan who put him on his feet. In her attempt to reach him she fell and hit. An employee of the security company of the shopping center intervened and immobilized the brazen perpetrator. He was arrested by Group Z police officers who rushed to the scene.
He was taken to the White Tower Security Department. After consultation with the competent prosecutor’s office, he was not charged with attempted rape but with insulting sexual decency.
