Two tragic incidents occurred in two hotels in the wider area Slowly at Zakynthoswith a common denominator fall of young Britons from balconies.

One happened at about 3:00 p.m. when, according to exclusive information from ERT, a 23-year-old British tourist, trying to get off a balcony, stepped on the handrail, lost his balance and fell headfirst to the ground from a height of about 1 .5 meters. The young man, according to the same information, got up and tried to stand up twice, but kept falling down. The young man was taken to the Zakynthos hospital where he ended up.

A few hours earlier, in the early hours of Wednesday, a young man, also British, was found fallen and seriously injured in front of the balcony of the hotel room where he was staying, also on the first floor. He was immediately taken to the Zakynthos hospital. There it was found that he is badly injured and he was intubated.

In both cases, there does not seem to be any involvement of third parties, however a preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Zakynthos Police Directorate.
