Lawyers representing families of victims of the Tempe accident are expected to be present at the Larissa Courthouse today, according to a post by Nikos Plakias on social networks.

In fact, as mentioned by Mr. Plakias, father and uncle of three girls who “lost” his life in Tempi, the lawyers will also submit a memorandum to the judicial authorities with the following questions:

  1. Which prosecutor ordered and supervised the operation of transporting the materials from the scene of the crime by altering the circumstances of the crime?
  2. Was there an undeclared transfer of chemicals that played a role in the explosion and the fire?
  3. What is the involvement of the political leadership and the competent services in the operation of unplastering and plastering?
  4. Were minutes kept for the planning and execution of the operation, because over a three-day period materials were transported to the location of KOULOURI and to the location of PEGADIA LARISSAS?
  5. What orders did the heads of the divided OSE receive from the political leadership?

It should be noted that an investigation has been carried out regarding the “bazoma” by the Deputy Prosecutor of the First Instance following a relevant order of the Prosecutor of Appeals which ordered to find which specific persons were present in the first days and even the coating of the area with tar and gravel at the site of the accident, and who or which persons ordered the removal of the paints and other materials which were then transferred to a private plot of land without making this material available to the judicial authorities.

According to information from Lasissanet, the investigation has been completed and its conclusions are expected to be delivered to the Prosecutor immediately.

At the same time the appellate investigator investigating the case is awaiting the results of two critical investigations into the fire and the cargo of the commercial train. Specifically, the delivery of the findings of the chemical engineer of the National Technical University of Athens on the fire is pending, as well as the results of the attempt to recover the video material from the hard drives of the cameras that were installed at the stations where the commercial passed. It should be noted that the analysis of the video material is carried out in a special laboratory in England.

Finally, we remind you that the prosecution of the officials of the Railway Regulatory Authority is pending from the Prosecutor after the investigation of the appellant investigator which resulted in criminal responsibilities of the officials of the Authority.
