Materials:
- 200 gr. chocolate couverture
- 150 gr. butter
- 200 gr. pti-ber type cookies
- 100 gr. powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 1 vanilla
- A pinch of salt
Implementation:
1. Preparation of the ingredients: First, break the cookies into small pieces. You can put them in a bag and hit them with a rolling pin or just break them with your hands. We want them to be in small pieces, but not completely crushed.
2. Melt the chocolate: In a bowl, melt the couverture and butter in a bain-marie or in the microwave. If you choose a bain-marie, make sure the water is boiling over low heat and that the bowl of chocolate is not in direct contact with the water.
3. Mixing the ingredients: Once the chocolate and butter have melted and become a smooth mixture, let them cool slightly. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the powdered sugar and vanilla until they become a fluffy mixture. Add the cocoa and salt and mix well. Then add the chocolate mixture to the beaten eggs and mix quickly. Once the mixture is smooth, pour in the crushed cookies and mix well to coat with the chocolate mixture.
Spread a piece of parchment paper and place the chocolate mixture in the middle. Shape the mixture into a log using the parchment paper to wrap it tightly. If you want, you can add some grated walnut or almond inside for extra flavor and texture.
4. Refrigeration: Place the mosaic in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until firm. If you are in a hurry, you can put it in the freezer for about an hour. Or pop it in the freezer anyway as the result is great that way too
7. Serving: When the mosaic is ready, remove the parchment paper and cut into slices. You can decorate it with a little icing sugar or cocoa on top for extra decoration.
Tips:
- If you want to add a touch of flavor, you can add a little cognac or liqueur to the chocolate mixture.
- You can adjust the recipe according to your taste, adding nuts, dried fruits or even pieces of white chocolate.
The chocolate mosaic is a sweet treat that will make you feel like a kid again. Try this recipe and enjoy the most delicious chocolate mosaic you’ve ever tasted!
