Two brothers who are accused of the incident a few days ago in the area of ​​Panagia Faneromeni, in Thessaloniki, when after a fight (for personal reasons), they pushed a 52-year-old man from the balcony, resulting in him falling into the void from a height of 6.5 meters and get injured.

The two accused brothers, aged 34 and 35, were charged with, among other things, attempted murder. Today they were called to give explanations to the Thessaloniki investigator, who – with the consent of the prosecutor – considered them temporary prisoners.

For the same case, two more young men, aged 20 and 24, were charged, who, after their confession to the same investigator, were released (one with restrictive conditions and the other without).

The cause of the incident seems to have been the bond that the 35-year-old maintained with the victim’s 18-year-old daughter, a fact that her parents did not approve of. Information says that the girl is pregnant and lately there have been fights between her father and her lover (who are also related to family ties).

Last week and after another fight, the two brothers visited the 52-year-old at his home, in order to ask him to speak, as a result of which they held hands and beat him. According to the case file, he was then pushed from the balcony of the 2nd floor, as a result of which the sufferer found himself in the air and was injured (he is being treated at Hippocrates Hospital).

Apologizing, the two main defendants denied the charge, while they reportedly claimed that the 52-year-old jumped on his own to escape the blows. Their co-accused – according to information – said that one tried to mediate the fight and the other that he happened to be passing by the scene.
