A recent online report shows photos of Samsung Galaxy Ring’s smart ring with inflated battery, With its owner ending up at the hospital for his removal, according to the 9to5google site.

Batteries can dilate when overloaded or as the years go by. This is simply the nature of lithium -ion batteries. Batteries, however, can be a serious problem.

Daniel, @zoneoftech who is Known Evaluator of Smart Devices On YouTube, he posted some photos wanting to show what he encountered.

According to the post, a Samsung Galaxy Ring began to swell during a long day trip. The swelling of the lithium -ion battery in the Galaxy Ring tightened his finger, preventing him from taking it out.

Nearby photos of the Galaxy Ring clearly show the inner part of the ring where the battery is located. The titanium that exists in the enclosure of the ring does not give the battery aside to stimulate outward.

Daniel noted that this happened before boarding a flight and therefore denied boarding for security reasons. A visit to the hospital followed, where the Galaxy Ring was successfully removed.

Samsung was able to provide the following response when 9to5google contacted her for comments about the incident:

The safety of our customers is a top priority and we are in direct contact with this user to find out more about their concerns. While experiences like this are extremely rare, there are some ways to try to remove a glued ring, such as soap and water – or dipping your hand in cold water. If these methods do not work, additional information is provided on the Samsung support page.

The company has already contacted Daniel, as he himself announced on Tuesday through social media.
