A 31-year-old foreigner was arrested in the morning hours of Monday (15-7-2024) by police officers of the Security Department of the Athens Airport Police Directorate at “Eleftherios Venizelos” Airport, prosecuted with a European arrest warrant by the Italian authorities for violations of the drug legislation.
In particular, the 31-year-old is accused of being a member of a criminal organization, active in the international trafficking of quantities of mainly synthetic drugs, negotiating with leading members of the organization and acting from our country.
In addition, a case file was filed against him for violation of drug legislation, as during the check of his luggage -20- medicinal tablets, -25.6- grams, were found and confiscated. of smoked narcotic substance and vials containing substances of unknown chemical composition. Also confiscated were -450- Chinese yuan, -8- mobile phones, a tablet and a laptop.
The arrested person was taken to the competent Prosecutor’s Office.
