Cars will be able to move freely in the center of Athens, from 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, when the ring will cease to be in effect, as provided for by the relevant KYA.

Where the Ring applies:

In the center of Athens surrounded by the ring formed by avenues and streets:

“L. Alexandras – Zakharov – L. Mesogeion – Fidippidou – Michalakopoulou – Spyrou Merkouri – Vryaxidos – Ymitto – Il. Ilio – Andr. Frantzi – L. Andr. Sygrou – Hamosternas – Piraeus – Iera Odos – Konstantinoupoleos Street – Achilleos – Karaiskaki Square – Karolou – Marni -28th October (Patision) – Alexandras Street”,

The following traffic restrictions apply:

From 16 October 2023 to 19 July 2024 for the days Monday to Thursday from 07.00 to 20.00 and for Friday from 07.00 to 15.00, only the rotating traffic of passenger cars for private use and trucks for private use with a maximum acceptable laden vehicle mass (LAW) up to 2,200 thousand kilograms, based on the last digit of their registration number, as follows:

On even (even) dates, passenger cars for private use and lorries for private use with a maximum permissible laden vehicle mass (MAMF) of up to 2,200 thousand kilograms, whose registration number ends in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 (i.e. in an even number)

on odd (odd) dates, passenger cars for private use and lorries for private use with a maximum permissible laden vehicle mass (MAMF) of up to 2,200 thousand kilograms, whose registration number ends in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 (i.e. in an odd number).

The above traffic restriction measures do not apply to the border boulevards and ring roads.

The measures do not apply on public holidays, as well as on days when workers are on strike in all Public Transport.
