The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, with his post on Twitter, welcomes the intention of the Panhellenic Medical Association (PIS) to give, as he announced, an additional 1,000 euros to each private doctor who will work in the NHS and cover the needs of the system.

“Today’s announcement by the PIS is moving in the right direction as it intends with its own resources to financially support the private doctors who will contribute to the operation of the NHS, but also because it makes a public appeal to its members to help us in this difficult situation” , the health minister wrote in his post.

Earlier, the PIS had announced that it intends, from its fund, “to grant an allowance of 1,000 Euros to each medical colleague who will help, an amount that exceeds the money he will receive for two on-calls over three months”.

He also announced that with the cooperation of the scientific societies, “he will grant the free subscription for three pan-Hellenic conferences to each colleague”.

At the same time, he will send an invitation to the doctors who can really help, that is, those who have recently received the specialty title and he hopes that the doctors already serving in the NHS have been informed in time.

“The Panhellenic Medical Association, as the official adviser of the state by law, feels that it has done its duty in full and in a timely manner and is today going beyond its financial means to prove that the medical world of the country is doing its job, even when the people in charge of the homes of our debtors are gone”, concludes the announcement of the PIS.
