In about 27 years, he managed to stand out in whatever field he focused on (Museums, event spaces, estates, restaurants) and become known within and outside the borders, remaining firmly at the top. In the cultural company “Panorama”, in Kolonaki where intellectuals frequented, Takis Christophileas, the older brother of the family, who had a passion for good food and was fascinated by the interaction with special people, worked initially. He had the original idea and “introduced” Dimitris Christophileas, his younger brother, to the job but also endowed him with knowledge and experience. Both of them started from a small village in Messinian Mani to conquer the culinary scene through Dining hallwhich started its operation in 1997.

Dimitris Christofileas, as a cook (initially), as an entrepreneur, as an expert, as a visionary, as CEO and co-owner of Deipnosofistirion, introduces himself to us, highlighting the timeless values ​​that have determined the course of catering: “Despite our evolution and the fact that we have expanded , we maintain our family character and the flame we had in the beginning. “Dimitris Skarmoutsos joined the company as executive chef and co-owner 10 years ago. So with his great experience and know-how, he proposes and offers complete menus and flavors from different cuisines of the world as if they were cooked in their country, from French to Indian and from Chinese to Japanese. Also, the Deipnosophistrio has organized a special kosher department and undertakes the organization of events. Thus, large organizations as well as couples from every corner of the Earth all trust us with their eyes closed. So we give an additional argument for them to choose Greece for their wedding or corporate event”, points out D. Christophileas.

As he informs us, Deipnosophistrio now has the capabilities, the equipment, the human resources and the partners to organize and transform spaces, setting up impressive “stages”, based on the concept of each event. For these needs, he creates kitchens and dining areas in the most unlikely places, in an almost magical way. “Add to these our charismatic chefs, our top sommeliers and our bar tenders, but also the relationship of trust we have built with suppliers, employees, customers and you have the big picture,” he adds. And because the Supper Sophistry is constantly looking ahead, it has already started creating new, smart buildings. The new facilities are completed with smart technologies and engineering solutions that aim to reduce the building’s energy footprint with energy co-generation and environmentally friendly technologies. Deipnosophistrion also acquired its own farm with sustainability as its starting point, which leaves a positive mark on the environment. This green philosophy has been extended to every cell of the company and has been intensified due to Delta Restaurant which has also been awarded a MICHELIN Green Star.
