Seven of the eight defendants are sent to prison as members of the second, after the one with municipal officials and employees, of a large extortion ring, after their apologies to the Investigator.

The eighth accused was released with the imposition of the restrictive conditions of appearing at the Police Station of his area twice a month and of being prohibited from leaving the country.

According to information, most of the defendants deny the heavy indictment against them, while some of them seem to have chosen to observe their right to remain silent.

It is recalled that ELAS arrested fourteen persons as members of the criminal organization, active throughout Attica for about a year, including four of those already accused, arrested in the incidents at the Panathinaikos stadium.
