There was almost a massacre in the area at the end of Alfeiou Street, on Monday afternoon, in a serious incident between a family of gypsies. A man is accused of attempted murder of a 14-year-old girlwhile her father and uncle then attacked him with a spit and a pistol.
Two people have been arrested and are expected to be brought to the Prosecutor’s Office of Ilia at noon on Tuesday.
According to police sources, the 37-year-old accused of attempted murder on Monday afternoon rammed his car into two parked cars belonging to another gypsy family. The 37-year-old then got into an argument with a 35-year-old man who owned one of the cars.
THE 37 years old allegedly then with his car, accelerated sharply and went to hit the 14-year-old daughter of the 35-year-old. Her mother managed to pull her off the road and save her.
Then the 35-year-old together with his 38-year-old brother immobilized the 37-year-old and with a metal spit they hit him on his arm and body, injuring him. At the same time, another member of the second family, the 59-year-old father of the 35-year-old and the 38-year-old, allegedly threatened the 37-year-old with a pistol and verbally.
After a great mobilization of the authorities, the 37-year-old was arrested and charged with attempted murder, while the 35-year-old was also arrested and charged with causing dangerous bodily harm.
The 38-year-old and the 59-year-old evade arrest and are wanted.
