The accounts of the beneficiaries of the affected farmers were credited today, Thursday, with 70 million euros, which relate to the payment of compensation for the damages caused by the “Daniel” and “Elias” disasters.

The credits in question, according to an ELGA announcement, are for the destruction of plant production and the loss of bee colonies and hives in the areas of the Regional Units that were affected.

As the insurance organization notes, among other things, “with the applicable provisions of the ELGA Regulation, the insured value, even in cases of 100% damage, would be reduced by 15%, then multiplied by a liquidation factor of 0.88, the maximum compensation limit it would not exceed 80% of the insured value and there would be an annual upper limit of aid paid, amounting to 70,000 euros”.

Now, with the application of the provisions of the ad hoc Program, no exemption rate is provided, the liquidation factor is the unit, so in the whole, the maximum liquidation rate on the insured value is 100% and there is no upper limit of 70,000 euros, so that the aid is paid at its total value.
