The police sub-directorate of the island and the special actions unit of the Attica Security Directorate proceeded to dismantle a criminal organization that trafficked large quantities of drugs in Mykonos.
The Authorities proceeded with the demolition following a previous complaint according to which an unknown perpetrator was moving in a vehicle on the streets of Mykonos and was dealing in narcotic substances, making deliveries.
After a coordinated operation, on Saturday morning (27/07), they were also located three people were arrested, among which a leading member of the organization. A case file was filed against them for weapons possession, criminal organization and drug trafficking.
From the preliminary investigation it emerged that this is a criminal organization with distinct roles and a specific way of acting as follows:
–40 year old who is the leading member, coordinated the sales of drugs from the house – kavatza in Mykonos, carrying out the necessary communications with prospective buyers through online applications regarding the details of the “order”, having a relevant price list, by type of drugs, while at the same time collecting the profits from the sale of narcotics.
–37 years oldwho is the main member of the organization and was in charge of delivering the narcotics using the “delivery” method and made sure that the meetings were held in crowded places.
-26 years old, which was the reason for the legal stay of the other members due to her work and at the same time she performed escort duties for the main member of the organization in order to minimize the possibility of their detection by the Authorities.
Characteristic of their ingenuity, in order to achieve their purpose safely, was the creation of a box that resembled a car part, in which they hid the narcotics, thus making it difficult to detect the narcotics in the event of an audit.
In total, from their possession and from the searches carried out, the following were found – among others – and confiscated:
– vehicle, which was used by the main member of the organization for drug trafficking,
-scale,
-65,880- euros,
-US$17,166-,
-240- British pounds,
-43.22- grams of cocaine,
-8.61- grams of methamphetamine,
-212- grams of synthetic drug,
-plenty of pills and ecstasy shavings of various colors and
-plenty of plastic capsules of the narcotic substance MDMA.
