Saint Panteleimon the Great Martyr and Healer

Saints Silas, Siluanos, Praised, Kriskis and Andronikos, were five of the seventy disciples of the Lord. They all served the Gospel of Christ “in toil and toil, in many vigils, in famine and thirst, in many fasts, in cold and nakedness”. That is, they served the Lord with toil and toil, with vigils many times, with hunger and thirst on long journeys, with fasting, with cold and nakedness.

Silas was imprisoned with Paul in Philippi in Macedonia. After much toil and after following Paul on many of his tours, he became bishop of Corinth.

Siluanos, from the office of the bishop of Thessaloniki, struggled and was tortured for his faith in the Lord.

Praised One, from the position of bishop of Carthage, struggled and was tortured for his faith in the Lord.

Andronikos struggled and was tortured for his faith in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Finally, Kriskis became the bishop of Carchidonia and from this position he labored and served the Divine Gospel.
