Dozens of checks in minors were held in the afternoon and evening of Friday in areas of Municipality of Oreokastro, Thessalonikiin the context of a special operational action of the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, to prevent the delinquency of young people.
During the action, which took place at selected points, a total of 70 minors were checked, with the assistance of police officers from the Directorates of Security, Police, Immediate Action and Foreigners of Thessaloniki.
“The purpose was to collect data and map the movement of minors who may be involved in delinquent incidents. The data collected will be the subject of evaluation, exploitation and investigation for the design of targeted actions in areas where an accumulation of incidents of juvenile delinquency is found.
Similar excursions will continue in the field of preventing and dealing with the phenomenon of youth crime,” the police said in a statement.
