The driver of an agricultural vehicle was arrested in a settlement of Menemeniwhen he was spotted by police carrying illegal immigrants in the back of the vehicle.
His cops Crime Prevention and Suppression Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorateas part of their patrol in areas of western Thessaloniki, yesterday morning they spotted the agricultural vehicle in the cart of which three people were riding.
In a subsequent check, it was found that these were three foreigners who did not have documents for their legal stay in Greek territory.
The 24-year-old foreign driver of the vehicle was arrested by the police, who are investigating the ownership status of the car, as it was found that he had fake license plates.
Two mobile phones, used by the arrested person for his conversations, and a sum of money were also confiscated.
