The online submission of applications for beneficiaries and providers for the Public Employment Service (PYPA) program begins today granting vouchers for the purchase of books for the year 2024. The applications of the interested beneficiaries and providers will be submitted until 16/08/2024 at 23:59.

The purpose of the program is the intellectual development of the workforce and the support of businesses in the field of books.

A total of 150,000 checks will be issued, worth 25 euros each, including VAT, with a budget of 3,750,000 euros. The program will be implemented from 01/09/2024 to 31/12/2024.

With the cheque, which is in the form of a unique electronic code number, beneficiaries and beneficiaries can buy any book they choose from the bookstores and publishing houses of the register of providers with a 10% discount.

The applications of the interested beneficiaries will be submitted exclusively online, via gov.gr, HERE.

Specifically, the path is: Home/Work and Insurance/Compensations and Benefits/Book Purchase Checks.

Beneficiaries are:

  • employees with a dependent employment relationship under private law at the end of the deadline for submitting applications or
  • insured employees, due to a dependent employment relationship under private law in the e-EFKA in their professional category with contributions in favor of the unemployment branch of the DYPA, at any time in the period from 01/01/2023 to the day before the deadline for submitting applications or
  • unemployed persons registered in the DYPA Digital Register with a continuous period of unemployment of at least three months on the date of the deadline for submitting applications.

The income must not exceed 30,000 euros, unless they are long-term unemployed, who, if single, must have an income of up to 16,000 euros, if married, up to 24,000 euros, plus 5,000 euros per child or, if they are single parents, up to 29,000 euros, increased by 5,000 euros per child, after the first.

Beneficiaries of the program are the spouses of the beneficiaries, when they are indirectly insured members, as well as the children of the beneficiaries, over the age of five, provided that they are indirectly insured members of their own or the other parent at the deadline for submission of applications .

The selection of the beneficiaries is based on the scoring of specific criteria (disabled, single parent, number of children, income, first time participating in the program), in an objective and transparent manner, through the Integrated Information System (IPS) of DYPA.

Providers of the program are bookstores and publishing houses of any legal form, which have a legal license to operate.

From this year, providers from the previous year will be automatically included in the register of providers, as long as they update their participation.
