Call for traffic violation at Mykonos received last week from the authorities of the island, as Mr. Manolis Tsagarakis, who lives in Crete, reported to SKAI and to the show “Morning UPDATE”.

According to Mr. Tsagarakis, “the call he received from A.T. of Mykonos concerned illegal parking on the island”, without, as he explained, having never traveled to Mykonos by car.

“On Thursday I received a call from the AT of Mykonos for illegal parking on the island. I have never been to Mykonos by car in my life. I urge anyone in a similar situation to mine to report it. I have also sent a letter to the Municipality of Mykonos and they will call me back by the end of August to give me an answer”, said Mr. Tsagarakis.

“As soon as I got the call, I froze. Chances are it was either a traffic error or fraud. The funny thing is, for the period when the call was sent, I was working in Heraklion morning and night”, he added.

As the police analyst Stavros Balaskas explained on the show, there is a system for KOK violations so that every citizen can submit an objection.

According to Mr. Balaska, fake license plates are used by criminals to avoid recognition by the authorities. The fake plates do not have the seal of the Greek state embossed on them.
