According to the forensic examination, the child’s stomach was empty, which means that he did not sit down for lunch
The revelations about the death of the 8-year-old in a camping pool in Halkidiki are shocking.
According to ANT1, the little girl seems to have died in the pool while she was with other children as well as her older sister.
There was a lifeguard and the team leader in the area at that time.
The unfortunate 8-year-old had gone to the camp with her sister. The two little girls entered the pool together, like other campers, but it seems that the 8-year-old never got out of the water, since her sister did not see her afterwards, neither in the dining room, where they went to eat, nor in the dormitories.
A second element that strengthens this possibility is that, according to the forensic report, the child’s stomach was empty, which means that he did not sit down for lunch, along with the others. The EKAV rescuers who attempted resuscitation on the spot, found that there were food remains, which was probably breakfast.
The group leader allegedly testified to the police how she did not count the children when they came out of the water and how she noticed the absence of the 8-year-old in the dining room and started looking for her alone, without notifying the camp, which is also evident from the official announcement of the business.
Specifically, the announcement states that “after lunch had been completed and the campers were in their rooms for their lunch break, it was found that one camper was missing. The headquarters of the camp was immediately notified and a group of executives started looking for her.”
In her testimony, the lifeguard claimed that she did not see anyone in the water around 1:00 p.m. The alarm at the camp went off just before 3:00 p.m., almost two hours later, that is.
