Three Greeks were arrested in Lasithi, accused of offenses related to drugs, weapons, flares and antiquities.

The police found more than 300 grams of cannabis, hydroponic cultivation of cannabis seedlings, scales and 9 cigarettes, while weapons, grenades, cartridges of various types, a detonator, firecrackers, naval smoke generator, slow-burning incendiary ropes, ancient objects, etc. were confiscated.

The three persons, two men and one woman, were arrested, in the context of a special plan to fight crime and after the use of information by the police of the TAE Lasithi that the three of them are involved in the possession and trafficking of drugs and weapons. Two of the specific persons were located and immobilized, while they were riding a two-wheeled motorcycle and in a leading I.X.E. car. A check followed during which nine improvised cigarettes containing 14.13 grams of cannabis were found and confiscated, while houses, surrounding areas and storage areas owned and used by the three Greeks were searched.

During the total investigations, the following were found and confiscated: “14 cannabis seedlings in the growth stage, ten of which were grown using the hydroponic cultivation method and related equipment, quantity of raw cannabis (305.21) grams, 6 hand grenades, 4 disassembled mines with cap and firing mechanism and projectile parts, 1 submachine gun and two magazines, 3 air guns with their accessories (binoculars, tripod, pellets, propellant gas ampoule, etc.), 717 complete cartridges of various types and calibers . sachets of cannabis seeds, 2 precision scales, objects (2 coins, 5 clay objects, rock) which will be examined by the competent antiquities protection service”.
