Haris Doukas calls on all his fellow candidates to join forces so that all citizens live in a safe and healthy environment
Haris Doukas, in continuation of his letter to his co-candidates, for the preparation of an Immediate Rescue Plan for Attica, met today with the Secretary of the Environment Department of PASOK, professor Mr. Panagiotis Dimopoulos, Mr. Panagiotis Karkatsoulis, Public Administration expert and experts scientists. Common ground at the meeting was the need to change the government’s failed doctrine of three-pronged prevention-management-bush firefighting.
In this direction, a first exchange of views took place and relevant proposals were formulated. At the meeting, everyone agreed that there should be an open call to the bodies involved in the protection of forests, the Local Government, and of course the specialist scientists, to participate with their ideas and proposals, in the preparation of a comprehensive law proposal. The goal is a new model, adapted to the modern difficult conditions, which will effectively protect people, property and the ecosystems of Attica.
Haris Doukas renews his invitation to all his co-candidates, in order to join forces with the aim of defending the right of all citizens to live in a safe and healthy environment and thanks Nadia Giannakopoulou and Michalis Katrinis for their immediate response
