In addition to acting, he also has a talent for cooking
And not many people know this, except for those who follow her on her instagram where she very often prepares various foods, mostly healthy, vegan and of high nutritional value.
And this time the Valeria Kouroupi gives recipe for split peas. And as she says herself, she breaks them.
“I’m giving the people easy, quick and delicious fava beans! A legume that does not need to be soaked in the evening and is therefore made immediately. It is eaten as a meal with a green salad, wholemeal bread or rice and necessarily lemon. Also as appetizers in your summer, balcony tables with sea bream, wine or beer. If you are not vegan, you combine it beautifully with salted or smoked fish. Let’s go!
Materials
-500g fava beans (I used organic)
-1 large carrot
-2 large onions
-1 tsp curry
-1/2 tsp. cumin
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
-1 tsp. oregano or thyme
-pepper
-salt
-olive oil
Implementation
You clean the fava beans from stones, rinse them well and put them in boiling water. The water should cover them by a finger, no more. I forgot to show you in the video how to skim your fava beans well when the water boils.
When you have skimmed, add the carrot, onion, spices and salt and pepper and stir until the fava beans and vegetables boil and soften. When they are ready, add olive oil and blend with the puree tool.
You will see your fava become like a cream. If you want to find pieces, stop, otherwise continue the mashing a little longer. Serve with dry onion, parsley, caramelized onions or capers. It is eaten hot or cold from the fridge. And he breaks it!!”
