The speeding up of the procedures for the renovation of the TIF exhibition center and for the extension of the Thessaloniki Metro to the west and towards the airport, as well as the observance of the construction schedule of the fly over, with continuous monitoring and management of the traffic load, was requested by the President of the Technical Chamber of Greece/Central Macedonia Division (TEE/TKM), Ilias Pertzinidis, during the meeting of representatives of productive entities with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, ahead of the 88th TEF.

He also pointed out the need to complete all the required projects for the upgrade and modernization of the port of Thessaloniki and the connection with both PATHE and the railway network, for the promotion of the integration project of the Thessaloniki waterfront and for the immediate completion of the ThessINTEC 4th generation technology park venture. Mr. Perzinidis also referred to the need to implement infrastructure and restoration projects on Mount Athos, “which is a place of infinite natural beauty that brings together the entire history of monastic architecture from the 10th century onwards”.
