New developments in the case of the death of the 19-year-old in Luna Park in Halkidiki. The Head of the Appeals Prosecutor’s Office of Thessaloniki gave the order to carry out the technical control at the fatal Luna Parkby a certified engineer, at the request of the 19-year-old’s family.

Earlier today, the child’s family went to the Thessaloniki Courthouse. There, the 19-year-old’s father met with the Head of Public Prosecution, accompanied by his lawyers.

Particularly moving was the moment when the brothers and friends of 19-year-old Yiannis, who were present early in the morning at the Thessaloniki Courthouse, shouted: “Yiannis, you live, you will be vindicated”, holding his photo. Along with the family were some of the 19-year-old’s friends.

The mother of the young boy burst into tears, while the father could hardly hold back his tears, making an excuse for a first justification for his child who met a tragic death.

“Justice works and any obstacle that comes in will be moved very quickly with these remarkable people who represent it, to bring justice to every child that has gone missing, including my boy, our child. As mentioned by the Head, if possible, the company from Athens will be called today, in consultation with DEDDIE, to be electrified, to carry out the inspection”, he emphasized in his statement the father of the 19-year-old victim.

For his part, the lawyer for the young man’s family, Apostolos Angelakis, he emphasized in his statements: “The extraordinary technical inspection must be done only by an accredited body. The technical file of the machine in question will be reviewed, any maintenance books if any, its maintenance, electrical mechanical equipment will be checked. It will be the final stage that will fully prove the allegations and confirm the criminal responsibilities of those involved in the operation.”
