Almost one in three UK drivers say they have missed an exit due to hidden signs – from other vehicles or overgrown bushes and trees, according to research. Almost all respondents have seen vehicles make sudden or unsafe maneuvers in order to exit the highway.
The new Kuga is one of several Ford models to feature Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, which helps make ‘losing’ exits on the highway a thing of the past. The intelligent cloud-connected navigation system works with Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control to let the Ford Kuga reduce speed when it approaches the selected exit – in addition to providing regular visual and audio alerts.
The technology acts adjunctively as an additional prompt to drivers. If they wish to continue past the relevant exit, they simply need to step on the accelerator and continue forward.
As well as Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control helping drivers to make their journeys more comfortable, the new Ford Kuga also offers a luggage compartment with a capacity of up to 553 litres, combined with a choice of fully hybrid, plug-in hybrid and gasoline drive systems. Available for the first time is the new Ford Kuga Active, which features a tougher exterior design and a special drive mode for driving in sand or mud.
