Two Turks, aged 43 and 45, were arrested, yesterday afternoon, in the area of ​​Agios Dimitrios, accused of violating the arms law.

According to ELAS, his police officers A.T. Agios Dimitrioswho were carrying out on-board patrol, stopped a vehicle, in which the two foreigners were riding, for control.

From the investigation carried out, the police officers found in the possession of the 43-year-old two pistols, with magazines, which carried 13 and 17 cartridges respectively, as well as a magazine with 14 cartridges. In addition, a folding knife with a total length of 21.5 centimeters was found inside the vehicle, as well as the sum of 3,435 euros.

Immediately after, the two men were arrested, while subsequent house searches revealed and confiscated three pistols with 3 magazines, as well as 37 cartridges.

The arrested persons were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office, while, finally, it is noted that the 43-year-old has also previously concerned the authorities for violating the law on drugs.
