THE Christos Gousios legal representative of the agencies pointed out that “the problem has started for a year in our region, tourism professionals have been fighting tooth and nail every day for a year, just to survive, due to the floods and fires that hit our region in September and summer last year. It is a given that the ecological disaster that happened in the previous period when the Pagasitic Gulf was flooded with millions of fish, is a tombstone for businesses, with a great economic disaster and a drop of more than 80% of their turnover”. the lawyer said.
“The main request of the indictment submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of Volos is to search and find the real reasons for the ecological and economic destruction of our region, while in addition the government and the state apparatus should once again stand by the professionals, to support them financially, so that they can survive, because the last blow was damning”.
According to him, in addition to the three professional Associations (catering, hoteliers and professionals of N. Anchialos), other organizations of our region will follow.
