“Apostolos Lytras’ attitude towards the tragic incident that marked his life and that of his family remains unshakable: He again apologizes to his wife and declares that he will do whatever is necessary for her mental and emotional protection of his children” says the lawyer of the well-known criminologist who is being released on parole today.

According to the lawyer’s announcement, “with the resolution no. 2931/2014 of the Athens Criminal Council, Apostolos Lytras is released from prison and the charge is changed from the felony of grievous bodily harm to the misdemeanor of dangerous bodily harm.” The parliament was preceded by a similar Prosecution proposal”.

Apostolos Lytras will be paroled. Specifically:

  • Prohibition of approaching the wife and her house at a distance of less than 100 meters.
  • Prohibition of communication directly or indirectly using technical means or through third parties. Only communication on matters concerning the minor child is allowed through lawyers.
  • In case of communication with the child, the delivery and collection by the wife or a person authorized by the wife will take place outside the AT of the wife’s residence, while during the delivery and collection the accused will not be able to address the person accompanying the child.
  • To participate in a counseling-therapeutic program of the National Solidarity Center
