A small treasure was stolen from a 54-year-old tourist while he was in the fitting room of a commercial store in the center of Thessaloniki, and then he was blackmailed to return the stolen goods.

The case became known after a complaint by the victim, who is originally from Israel and was on a few-day vacation in the city.

As she reported to the Police, the purse contained – among other things – three rings with white gold and diamonds and a diamond chain, the total value of which is estimated to exceed 75,000 euros.

The perpetrators contacted him and demanded the sum of 500 euros in order to return the jewelry.

The investigations of EL.AS. led to the arrest of the perpetrators and, as it became known, they are a 45-year-old Ukrainian, a 44-year-old Armenian and a 43-year-old Georgian.

They were taken to the criminal prosecutor who charged them with a felony and referred them to the 4th regular investigator, from whom they were given a deadline of Friday.

The stolen property was found in their possession and returned to its owner.
