The recruitment of 8,763 teachers of primary and secondary education, in Special Education and Education and in General Education as temporary substitutes, with a fixed-term private law employment relationship, for the current academic year 2024-2025, the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports announced on Monday.

In particular, the distribution of recruitments, as announced by the ministry, is as follows:

In primary education:

  1. 1,017 teachers of branches/specialties in Special Education and Education (SEA), and
  2. 3,194 teachers of disciplines/specialties in General Education.

In secondary education:

  1. 1,045 teachers of branches/specialties in Special Education and Education (SEA),
  2. 3,470 teachers of disciplines/specialties in General Education, and
  3. 23 PE79.01 branch teachers in Music Schools for the teaching of music specializations.

The Ministry of Education notes that “due to limited interest from prospective teachers included in the ASEP tables, it was not possible to fill the planned 483 vacant positions in General Education and in EAE structures, of which 350 positions belong to the PE70 Teachers’ and PE71 branches – PE70 EAE Teachers EAE. In order to fill the positions in question, the process of issuing a Special Notice to cover vacancies in school units will be initiated in accordance with Article 86 of Law 4547/2018 (A΄ 102), as in force.

In addition, as announced, fourteen (14) temporary substitutes for branches/specialties of the Second Division for General Education are available for recruitment at the Sivitanidio Public School of Arts and Vocations, by decision of the relevant Board of Directors.

Recruits must present themselves and undertake service from on Friday 11 to Monday 14 October 2024.
