“Fortunately, yesterday our national team was moved and paid tribute to the unjust loss of this man – I’m sorry to everyone I upset, provoked and angered.”
From the air of today’s show, Giorgos Liagas referred to the uproar and the reactions caused by yesterday’s report about the luxurious house of George Baldock, while the national team player was already dead.
“I have never hid in my life. The mistake I made yesterday is beyond excuse and I will not make excuses. I take all the responsibility myself. I want to ask that any justified reaction of anger and rage be limited to me and leave out my associates and environment.
It was a completely wrong journalistic assessment. In no case should the report be extended to some information about his house, which did not contribute anything when there was a loss of a person”.
“Last night I didn’t sleep…well you’re telling me because 3 weeks ago when my house burned down, I said that one person’s drama should not be turned into a lifestyle report. Big mistake, unnecessary all of yesterday. I am truly sorry and devastated that we unwittingly tarnished a day dedicated to the memory of a man.
Fortunately, yesterday the National Team moved us and paid tribute to the unjust loss of this man.
I’m sorry to everyone I upset, provoked and angered.”
